Default Baby monitor with video recommendation?

I have a question about baby monitor with video.

Most of the baby video monitor has night vision now and in most cases (at least all the ones that i saw), has a few red light around the lens. they are for the night vision i think.

but those red light are visible in the dark. i don't know if that will become a distraction for the baby.

any baby video monitor that doesn't have red lights like that?

I am looking for digital ones because of the secure transmission as well

any recommendation?

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about a small red light. When that kid wants to sleep, it will sleep light or no light

Video is overkill. I wanted one but then came to my senses and spent
$50 on a Sony audio only monitor. It's perfect.

i thought video would be nice cause you don't have to go into the room to check on the baby whenever you hear noise from the monitor. so that they won't get to "get you over to the room" by just making noise?

Those red LEDs are infrared LEDs and they are neither bright nor distracting. Don't worry about it. I have a 5 month old at home btw.

We thought long ang hard about which route to go down when we had out daughter (now 7 months) and we decided to go the audio only route.

Why?

Because we have seen some parents become fixated on watching the screen to make sure everything is ok-we didn't want to become addicted to watching our child sleep.
