Gin is pretty rough tasting straight no matter what kind you get but Bombay is one of the smoothest. I left Scotch out purposely I figured redleader would want to stock the most popular stuff first. Myself I enjoy a nice glass of scotch from time to time (glenfiddich is a fav.) but find a lot of people don't like it. I wouldn't get any cheap hard liquor you will feel it in the head the next day.
Someone mentioned Zima... LOL, god I hope you were kidding. Ok, you've got to have the ice cold Jager. Ah, reminds me of my college days, last semester! Drop a shot of Jager into a glass with half a can and of Red Bull. Really popular down here in Texas, not sure about parts up north. Anyway, its called a blaster. Just don't take too many since some speculate Red Bull in large amounts is dangerous, I disagree. Jager alone is on helluva drink by itself. As for other populars, tequilla is always a must. I hear that 1800 Cuervo with the funny first name is great, albeit very pricey, you know, the one with the red wax around the top. Ooh, Johnny Walker Red or Black label is a good manly drink also. Enjoy!

You forgot the Scotch.
I like Oban or Glenlevit, but any Speyside single malt will
not disappoint.
As for gin, Bombay (regular or Sapphire) is the best.
