I looked at the link to the BMW. The seller says there is no catch to the deal.......but there's got to be something. Why would someone sell a straight, no mileage, new desireable model car for $10,000 under dealer cost? Some local dealer would have given him more than that without screwing around with the EBay method. Something doesn't add up.

Looking at the guys history, he has sold only very low dollar items. This does not outright mean anything, but sometimes people will build up a good rep on low end merchandise and then go for the "kill" with the high end rip-off.

Everything he said seems legit, however, why did he buy this car, garage it, and sell it for much less than retail? Weird.

Stolen?

I've seen stuff like this before. My friend was looking at a plasma TV which currently sells around $6k. A guy had it on ebay, claimed it was brand new, never out of the box, etc. and had a buy it now price of $4k. I looked at the guy's previous auctions and they were all for stuff he was buying which were mostly DVDs and VHS tapes. I think the most expensive purchase I saw was $33. My best guess is that the plasma TV "fell off the back of a truck" or he took some sort of "employee discount". The auction closed a few minutes after we spotted it. Go figure.

The car is currently titled in Canada. That would be enough of a "catch" for me!
