Lots of innocents dead or dying because of this.

Actually not a lot of dead.
Bayer sent out the drug with evidence that it was safe, and as a result no proven HIV cases have actually been found.
They think 1,000s but in reality it might be none at all.

Dude you should take that thing off.
Seriously, the investigation showed not one infection, at least at the time I did some research on this.
I work in business and everyone was a buzz about this, guess what we all found nothing notable.
Just some memos saying that its safe and that using it was fine but the FDA wouldn't allow its use in the states.
The FDA is not the AHJ in other countries. Those countries AHJ had no problem with the use of the drug. In some cases years after it came out that the drug was "tainted" individual batch testing showed no HIV antibodies in 100% of the tested doses.
Just so you understand what happened.
The product (which wasn't made by bayer) was made from blood plasma. now originally there was no tests for HIV so its either die from bleeding to death or use this product. Well of course it was a risk, some of it could be infected with HIV and it was. Then once a test was developed, what do you think the company did? They tested the batches, threw out the bad batches. Now only good tested batches were left. They then developed a heat treated version that worked. The FDA said well to be on the safe side use only this stuff from now on. The FDA only protects american interest and while 100% of the remaining product was tested safe it wasn't allowed to be sold in the US. So they sold it elsewhere, knowing that the batches had been tested and were safe.
What your hearing, The FDA said it was bad, it infected people with HIV. Well yeah before there was a test, there was no substitute and getting this drug saved your life from bleeding to death so the risk was worth it and the FDA agreed. But no one got HIV from this drug after the test became available (or at least no batch tested positive for HIV). Yes people else where still got HIV from this drug after the test came out because foreign countries were using old pretested stock. Despite what has been said they were aware of the slight risk, which of course was down played but still discussed. The future shipments were HIV tested free.
So now you know the whole story not the hyped up one.
So your tinfoil hat must be good at keeping out the facts.

I was refering the tinfoil hat for the OP not you... You know, your typical conspiracy theorists.
There are actually plenty of facts out there and this link and the related report are accurate just not the whole truth. If you google bayer HIV tainted drug etc... You can find a few articles that when looked at on the whole basically explain the whole deal.
Like I said earlier, when I fist heard this story that's exactly what I did. The HIV AIDS community are typically very well informed and if Bayer did something really bad well they would lose their ass, those infected are by far the most informed patient type of any disease. Guess having something that can kill you sort of defines you. People get warned to get a second HIV test when thye comeup positive because once you start thinking your an HIV patient many actually get depressed after you find out that you had a false positive. This was actually coverd on house, not that that's where the stat comes from.
None-the-less long way around HIV/AIDS patients would burn down Bayers building, kill some people and never by an asprin again.
