I was in New Orleans last year for work, and stayed on the Quarter. That was a mistake. It's hard to work the next day with such a hangover. What a great time, though! I look forward to going back.

It the same here in AL, but at least you have some killer micro-brews. Here, a brewpub can only be in a historic building as recognized on the National Historic Register and must have a minimum 80 seat restaurant attached. On top of that, they are not allowed to distribute the beer outside the restaurant. As a result, the state only has two surviving brewpubs.
