Beer - a smart investment
This was sent to me from a friend...
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today! If you purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG, you would have $33.00. If you purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers, you would have $0.00 today. But, if you purchased $1,000 worth of beer, drank all the beer, turned in the aluminum cans for recycling, you would have $214.00. Therefore the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg Plan

If I had bought 1 share of Google at $557.50 it would be worth $571.39 today. That is a 2.5% gain. Therefore I conclude that investing in Google is better than all those banks + beer combined.
Think about it this way...that's $13.89 that I can spend on beer for nothing!

Even better, if I had bought $1000 of RAX (Rackspace Hosting) @ $19.66 (last year's price) that's 50.86. It closed today @ 35.94. That's $828.08 in sheer profit...that's a lot of kegs....

Ya dont get me started there... I got f@#ked in the ass so hard with capitol gains taxes on that venture im still sore and will never walk straight again.
Got them around 20ish, dumped them around 260ish.... ya taxes blow. They had a tax for a tax on a tax for a tax. They did everything they could short of putting a gun to my head and saying give us the money. IRS audited me again because of this deal and actually found out they owed me 10k and I havnt seen a dime yet.
