Hmmm, interesting. I thought maybe it was some code to unlock a free Plasma TV if you deciphered it

I use to work at Circuit City while they still ran commission. You commission payout was on each price tag in a code that employees knew. That way employees can sell customers what pays them more instead of what they really need. They eventually caught onto that system in corporate I guess and took those off. You can still see when it's rung up though. The far right category on the screen holds payout or other numbers that are important to the employee

Some made a practice of it. I was a commissioned employe at Circuit as well. I however honestly took care of the customers needs and managed to make ~25K the first year working part time (x5, 4hour days). Made close to 35k my 2nd year full time. Then computers started paying shit and I went into management elsewhere.

If it still paid what it used too, I would prob still be there. We had 2 guys in SOHO that made 45-60k/year selling computers there.

I have a friend who works for Best Buy and the markup on the cables are crazy. I needed a HDMI to DVI connector and it retailed for 32.99. But, with his discount it came out to $7.00.

Makes me want to go to Best Buy just to see if they have the numbers posted.

I just got back from Best Buy and didn't see any such numbers I assume then it's only certain stores that have them.
