The other advantage DC has when it comes to driving games is the analog trigger for the accelerator. I can't imagine playing a driving game without being about to throttle steer through the turn. You can do this very effectively in 355 Challenge. How does your steering wheel's pedals hande this, blau-blau.

Best Racing Games Most Liked to Least Enjoyable: (I never picked up the new cart game or Type S driving emotion). . .

1. GT 3. . . nuff said. . .

1a. Namco's Moto GP (Motocycle Racer). . . When played in simulation mode, the experience is great (much better than EA's Superbike for PS1). . . However, the game only has five tracks, which limits its potential. . .

2. EA's F1 Championship Season. . . The visuals are excellent, the tracks are detailed (plus the game has all of the F1 tracks). . . Downside: the game definitely has a "Pole Position" arcade type feel (i.e., too easy to pass or get left behind by the compu cars). However, the overall completeness of the game makes this a winner. . .

Worst. Namco's Ridge Racer V. . . IMO, This game sucks. . . don't like the inability to choose my view of the car, the handling sucks, the car choices suck. . . Not worth the money, and definitely not worth the time. . .

I'm gonna get bashed for this prolly but, oh well.

An excellent "Car" game is Midnight Club Racing. It's like Driver 2 on steroids. If you want a race game that is 100% realistic this ain't it. If you want a race game that is fun as hell and one of the only ones that has good controls on it for PS2...trust me at least rent it...anyone else agree?

I just picked up Cart Fury Championship Racing and I like it. It's an arcade game not a simulation. I've only played it for about 4 hours in two player mode, but it's been fun. Both of my friends that were over at the time liked it as well. It doesn't have the depth of gt3 or some of the other games, but the gameplay is good and the feeling of speed is cool. Unlike gt3 or gt2 or gt1, I think this game will get old as a one player game, but it's great game to have when you have friends over.

ATV Offroad Fury is a very good "racing" game for PS2.
