Big Career Decision!
Hey guys, I'm in the midst of making a HUGE career decision. I've been back and forth on the two for an entire week...making lists or Pros and Cons, etc. So my situation is as follows, I'm graduating from Ga Tech in May 2010 and I've narrowed my job offers down to Jet Propulsion Laboratory in pasadena, CA and GE Energy in Greenville, SC. These are VERY different choices and they both have their pros and cons. I'm a single, asian, and fairly liberal male that doesn't really fit in with the Greenville culture, this was a big con for me. However, the cost of living in CA is WAYYY high compared to Greenville so thats a con for west coast. So can you guys think of anything along these lines that could sway my decision
I've visited both places and from the feel of the area I definitely prefer Pasadena more but is there more I should consider other than culture and cost of living?
I know this is a long shot but I've been back and forth for so long any new thoughts would help

what's the benefits package like?
how long do you anticipate being with the company more than 3 years?
how close are you with your parents? if something were to happen to one of them, would there be someone else in the family that could help out?

I'm thinking 3-4 years max..whenever I'm done with my master program through either of these places.
Location to my parents isn't a big deal, they have familiy as well as my sister near them.

jet propusion lab sounds more interesting to me.
sure its a bit less money after std of living and all, but that difference in money is pretty small compared to how much you like going in to work every day and whether or not you like life outside of work.
where are your interests, and what are the job descriptions? i assume engineering?
