Black Sock Lint Vs. White Sock Lint
As I came home today...pulled off my shoes and took off my socks...I started thinking...why the hell do black cotton socks leave SO much lint behind??
I know...then I thought, "hey, why not post this question on s2ki.com??"
But seriously...why is it black cotton socks leave more lint than white cotton socks?? Or even grey socks?? Why is it black socks leave so much more??
are you white? i'm thinking it's because of the contrast between your light color skin aginst the black lint that you see more often.
our darker skined brothers are probably thinking the same thing but opposite...."why do white socks leave more lint then black socks?"

Yep, light skinned guy here...but you would still see the white cotton build up...I would think. I should Google this to see if anyone else has asked the question...

It's perception. The obvious answer is that the black residue stands out in more contrast than the white.
If you were to buy the same brand of sock, black and white and wear one of each on a different foot, when you took the socks off at the end of the day and wiped the residual away and piled it up, the amount would be the same.
The solution is that I wash all my socks inside out before I wear them. This allows the material to swell and fluff while washing away any leftovers.
