Bought a new guitar..
Well I cant say its new since I bought it used but still its new for me. Its couple years old, Ibanez RG470, I found it as much as 699 and as low as 399, brand new. I bought it for $100 used. I think I got a good deal, the guitar is pretty spotless. Very well taken care of, no scratches or nikcs, or at least as big as my eye can catch. Plays pretty good too, I probably will change the pickups too EMG's though. You can see the RECYCLER Magazine that I found this guitar at, on the right side in the trash can

That sucks... especially consdiering the prices of the Jem guitars are pretty much double what I paid (and sold it for) for it. Red X... here is a link to a good web site for Jems:

The Ibanez's are ok. The only ones of Ibanez that I like are the 7-strings and the higher end ones. I'm a Fender guy. I had a cheap Fender stolen and picked up a Shoreline Gold Fat Strat, it has a great feel to it.
I still think that Inbez's has one of the coolest, cleanest, sexiest shapes of all electrics...I'm referring to the RG's of course. Personally I passed on th RG's when I was first in the market for electrics because I was afraid of the difficulty in stringing due to the locking trem. Also, since it was going to be my first electric, I'd thought I'd go for something a little more "versatile'. I ended up with an American strat. I got the floor model at guitar center for about $750 or so, I still think I paid too much!
All guitars have thier strengths and weaknesses.
My favourite of all I own or have owned ( which is wayyy to many ) is still my Washburn N4
When Ibanez came out with the RG series, it brought great guitars to people at a reasonable price, and IMO defined a market segment.

er stole my Jem 777 after a show once, I wasn't too pleased, never did find another one, green with vanishing pyramids. I should replace it one day
