Breast Implants VS. S2000?
Very informative, tenblade. Can you elaborate more on the 'body image'. I can understand when one is going to lose a breast, but how does it come into play when going from B to C. My common sense tells me that B is a pretty good size and to increase it would most likely point to false insecurities. but maybe i'm all wrong about it.
You're right there is a difference between loosing a breast and just wanting a different size. But in that regard, its much men and wanting to be bigger i.e. big pecs. If we want bigger muscles, we can go the gym and get them but women can't do the same for breast. They're stuck with God gave them... untill we fix them. We can improve on bad genes.
Yes, tenblade. I think if I look at it this way i gain more understanding because men get big muscles for various reasons and some of them are not related to being more attractive to women. so if we apply the same logic to women we have a better understanding between the sexes.
but i think...just to throw in the female perspective...a girl wants bigger breasts to get guys' attention. and i'm only talking about women who haven't had breast cancer. i understand that a breast cancer patient who has had a part of their breast removed would want to have reconstructive surgery to get their body back to the way it was. i'm talking about a perfectly healthy woman would has a size B who wants a C. just observing what goes on even on s2ki and the comments that are made with the pictures that are posted of women...what's considered "hot" by a lot of guys is a girl with a big chest. i know that doesn't speak for some guys, but that's my general observation. not only of the guys on this site but also my guy friends. so yeah, there's a lot of "pressure" for a woman who wants to look attractive and how do you do that? get bigger boobs. crockey's girlfriend is really pretty, but for some women who aren't as good-looking, the easiest way for them to become more attractive is by getting implants.
now, i don't think you can really compare this to guy's wanting bigger muscles. i don't know what the numbers are, but i wouldn't be surprised if there were many more women getting breast implants than men getting muscle implants. plus, from a female perspective, when a woman sees a guy at a party/bar, the focus is most likely on the face. muscles are a plus and six pack is a bonus. again, i realize this is a generalization, but this is my observation. whereas guys would focus below the face. again, generalization but i'm just saying that you can't really compare why women and men want implants. they're for different reasons.
i'm probably going to be flamed for this...
again, this is just my observation/opinion.

cykogirl, you ruined everything. We came to an understanding and you blew it.
See, i find that hard to take your word for it because how would that explain a woman that already found her future partner would want to get the attention of men and ask her current lover to pay for it. That paints her in a realy bad light. So, with all due respect i'm sticking to my earlier conclusion. but thanks for your insight.

i didn't mean to paint anyone in a bad light. she may have her own reasons for getting the implants.
but the way i see it, wanting them to begin with is a force only generated by what society has dictated. same goes for being skinny. why else would so many people want to be thin? or people making fun of someone because that person isn't totally flab-free?

cykogirl, i think you getting closer to the understanding we have. There is no escaping the fact that we all are victims of what society percieved to be beautifull. bad or good. its life. But that doesn't nessesarily mean that we want to attract the other sex with every enhancement we make to our body.
We do it because we want to feel good about ourselfs. Men enjoy looking in the mirror and see a flat belly and some women enjoy looking in the mirror and see a flat belly and size C breasts. I totally can understand that.
