Bring Rosie Back
Freedom of speech exists on s2ki.
You are free to post whatever you want, and you are also free to have your post removed. I'm not going to repost what he posted, as that goes against why it was removed.
It was mysoginstic and offensive. If humor was the intent many did not find it funny. Contrary to popular belief the admins and moderators are s2k enthusiasts that contribute there free time to this website.
The next time you read a status update about "hatefawking a slore" picture your mom, sister, grandmother or wife being the subject of that comment.
Yet the site admins are the bad guy here for enforcing the forum rules that everyone agreed too?

I guess it's alright to post such remarks.. after all this is a discussion about remarks exactly like such which got Rosie Banned.. so.. who is going to Bann you... good for the goose.. as they say...
Sad how people get so butt hurt on the interwebs. If Rosie's posts actually offended you to feel the need to complain, you ought to grow the F up, because you're either a big baby or just soft. I don't necessarily blame the moderators, as its their job and Rosie was warned, rather the giant pu**ies that some people have become, and we all feed the need to cater to. Corporate Amurika at its finest.
In the old days when people got pissed at each other it was acceptable to have a scuffle, throw some fists, and get past it. Now, you have all sorts of sissies running around being "offended."

I don't post much and not a paying member but always enjoyed reading rosie's posts/status updates. Twas a reason to actually check the main forum page instead of my shortcut to forced induction. Hope he got his membership costs refunded.

It's ashame that this had to go down this way, as SlowTeg said, I can't say I blame the mods/admin...just the person who is responsible for not being able to handle their problems on their own.
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. The site has rules and guidelines that everyone agrees to when they sign up. Violate those and you get in trouble; violate them enough and you get in deeper trouble.
If this had happened in an actual workplace he most likely would have been fired assuming he had already been in trouble for the same thing before.

I'm more curious as to exactly how many people complained or reported his status update for him to then get banned.
How many people frequent the forums on a daily basis? How many people need to complain about something like this before something is done about it? 1 or 2 people? 50 people? 100 people?
I'd think that considering traffic, for a permanent ban to take place for something like this, you'd need a very large group of people against the comment.
On a local forum, paying members get to choose who gets banned. Obviously there would need to be a good reason, and then it gets put to a vote.
Personally, I read the status updates everyday at work. I see one I don't like or agree with, I move on. I've never thought to report one as this is that persons own opinion, and just because I don't agree with it, doesn't mean this person needs to get into trouble for it.
I can't comment on what Rosie said because I didn't read it. But I would like to know how many people need to complain about something before an action is taken.
