How about using google maps or mapquest?
There are tons of towns on the East Coast very far from the nearest airport.

If you can't have someone from the board to drive you, rent a car. Or even borrow a friend's navigation if you don't have one. It is quite a hassle but will save you more worries down the road.

what i meant was i do not know the area. maybe i'm a bit different from you but i like knowing at least remotely where i am instead of blindly following a GPS unit.

and to you guys who also said something next to useless about the condition of the car. why make assumptions when you have no information to base it on? a car i've never seen, but was owned by someone who knows more than most of you. what can you really get from a car that's non-op? a compression test?

please keep your pop-culture ignorant idiocy to yourselves, this is the 21st century.

^^^cmon bro, base on the information that you gave us(which isn't much). How can you expect us to be optimistic about your purchase? You did not give us enough information. So of course people would be very skeptic.

This is what you said "im really considering flying out but the nearest airport over there is 180 miles away and i dont know the way."
^^How do you think people will react?

Uh... people were just offering suggestions. Way to get on the defense there.

And unlike you, I don't mind traveling around in places I've never been to. How else would I enjoy discovering new places? A GPS is an aid, but I'm driving the car, not blindly following anyone.
