An honest question: can anyone in here do a complete one-arm pullup? Reason for asking, I haven't seen anyone do it. For years I had not been able to do it, but lately, I've been able to do 5 complete pullups with my right arm and 4 with my left. I'm amazed by it and so is everyone who's witnessed it. Even more strange, I used to be stronger years ago too.

I'm sure there are people all over the world who can do all sorts of stuff; it's just that I haven't seen anyone do one-arm pullups in person. My arms are becoming freaks of nature.

In my junior year of highschool our 70 year old gym teacher did 10 with each arm. Effectively making me feel worthless

being a "big" guy isn't going to help you in a one arm pull up. Its almost the same format of having less horsepower, yet a lighter car. power/weight ratio. I would have to see the pull-up to assess it. Its like people saying they can curl 200 pounds. Are you throwing your entire body into it or are you standing with your back flat against a wall and using only the biceps and forearms.....
Its also not very good on the ligaments in the elbow.

I used to do indoor rock climbing (until I decided a career in eye surgery which rock climbing isn't really good for).

Back in those days I could do one arm pull up easy.

Go to any climbing gym and most of those guys (and gals) can do this no problem.

And here I thought I was some kind of a super human. Chef, they are free-hanging pullups, with no aid or jerking.
