does anyone have this digital camera? how much did you pay for it? and was it worth the money?

 

i've never used the camera, but i just checked the specs of that camera from canon's site, and frankly i can never recommend a digi camera that does not have optical zoom.

 

I have the powershot S110 (2MP elph). I love the camera. My mom has a s80(?) and loves it, too. Canon seems to have good image sensors; they usually have good color, balance, etc.

but, I wouldn't recommend it if it doesn't have at least 2x optical zoom. digital zooms suck after 2x. digital zooms work by extrapolation; they "guess" what color a pixel should be. Needless to say, it's often wrong.

Also, I know Canon makes cameras with both SD and compactflash. With CF, you generally get more capacity for the money. I would go with that, unless you have a MP3 player or something else with SD already.
