Default CAN EBAY SCREW ME ?

So I bought this Breitling watch 6 months ago. For those of u who dont know, they can be very pricey! The authentic ones go for atleast $200-$30K! I bought one off ebay from a guy in another country for only $80 US dollars thru paypal. He never said if it was a replica or authentic. Anyways, I just now sold it on ebay for $1400.00!!!! Im pretty sure its a replica, but I never stated in the auction if it was a replica or authentic. Im not for sure to be honest! But I did word my description good to make sure I was in the clear, stating it was a breitling, but I never said if it was a replica or not. So can I get screwed if this guy reports me, or am I safe and will ebay be on my side since I technically never stated if it was authentic or not? I also stated all sales final and feel free to ask questions, so bidders can ask me if it was authentic. Am I safe guys? Can ebay automatically take out $1400.00 from my account if they feel I ripped him off? But I really dont feel I lied! He could of asked me, and I would have said Im not sure if its authentic. Sure looks real though! Just no serial number to prove its authentic. By the way, the winning bidder lives in Germany.

If he lives in Germany, I'm pretty sure you're golden, unless he goes to dispute through Paypal.

ya, see thats my concern ...is if he disputes thru paypal. Or will paypal be on my side? Whats the worst paypal can do to me? What if I closed my account right after the funds transfer?

Yep, this guy is really fishy.

When you stated it's a Breitling, it's automatically assumed that it's a real thing, UNLESS stated otherwise. If I listed to sell a Honda, it's automatically assumed it's a real Honda and not a Hyundai with a Honda badge. You ripped off some guy who thought he was buying an authentic Breitling, hence willing to pay that much for it.

but isnt this a different kind of situation since Breitling makes replicas and Hondas do not make replicas?

.... I'm pretty certain Breitling doesn't make replicas of their own watches...

"Hey, lets make a $10k watch and call it authentic. Then we, as the same company, will make an exact replica for $80."

Um... no.

You just scammed some guy out of a ton of money. I hope they nail you for fraud if this goes through.

You're not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you? First of all, like someone stated, if you do not say it's a replica, you are implying you are selling the real thing. You bought it for $80, and sold it for $1400. You clearly knew it was a replica. For own sake, refund the $1400, and let them keep the watch. Apologize, say you didnt know, and learn a lesson. If not, Bubba will teach that lesson to you instead.
