I believe all he is saying as it has become standard practice to b!tch and try to get out of assuming responsibility when it comes to things like this.

Fair enough.
It just seems like a lot of times people come on S2ki and try to blame a cop for getting caught, weasel out of a ticket, complain and bemoan the system for something they did.
it doesn't seem like the OP is crying, he is simply asking for input regarding a legal situation. while s2ki is not the best forum for that its not like he is saying stupid pig pulled me over blah blah blah. and people complaining for trying to get out of a ticket, every time I have gone to court for anything I have plead not guilty and tried to fight it.
It won't get you out of the ticket.
Going to court if you have the time can work in your favor by
1. If the cop doesn't show up, often the ticket is dropped.
2. You can ask for a lighter sentence or driving school.

Yeah, the OP isn't actually that horrible as some of the other posts I've seen, I agree.
Here, let me make a genuine contribution to the original question then:
Once I received a speeding ticket, and upon closer inspection I realized that the officer had written my license plate down incorrectly. After I received my fee notice in the mail (I have never seen a number written ON the ticket, BTW), I took it to the courthouse to pay my fee or ask if I could fight it. After waiting in line for an hour or so, I finally got to the window.
Hey, the license plate is wrong. Doesn't this mean the ticket is incorrect and should be thrown out?
[the clerk rolls her eyes and gives me a look]... Seriously?
[sheepishly] Never mind.
