sorry dood, i'm a easterner (montreal) and the weird thing is...i'm a perfect bilingual, french and english, but i don't use "eh".

I have to concur with Prelude, left coast folks do not use EH at all from whenever I've heard one speak.

It does seem to increase as you travel east. In fact if you want to hear the word "eh" used as almost an artform go to Newfoundland...now thats some EH.

I've pretty much stopped using EH in my daily speech. And I think its because I have spent the past three years speaking nearly 95% to Americans.

Whats funny is my wife (born and raised in California) is now using "eh" all the time, its very funny.

I've worked with Newfies and I'm glad they put "eh" in at regular intervals since I can't understand a single bloody word they're saying and the "eh" at least tells me when a sentence is at its end. That's when I know to nod (or say "uh huh") to let them know I'm listening.

Mindcore... good job adding one to the list.

Cottage (cattage) is also interesting from the perspective that here in CA it's a "Cabin" and in the north of Ont it's a "Camp".
