Yeah, I don't get it either. In my previous company, my boss' boss had an Black E36 M3 with the license plate "blk m3".
I wouldn't do something like that, but it's not my car...

Hey, mine says "S2000" . Personally I like the plate to be descriptive of the car.

The coolest plates I've seen was a red F40 in SoCal: The plates read "VIPR ETR."

And then a few months ago Road & Track featured that same exact car in a feature article comparing it with the 959 and McLaren F1! That was cool.

u could always put ur business on ur license plate, but i guess its because they r not very creative.
i dont see the problem if its a high end car such as 911, or there is a 911 with the plates 9ONE1 where i live, or maybe ENZO, or maybe MODENA, u know what i mean
it isnt offensive to anyone, so it is a conservative way to blow a few hundred bucks rather than piss people off with plates like 2HOT4U or EATME or USUCK, u get my drift
