Why ? I have my name on my plate. Its an investment - the plate has trippled in value over the last 4 years. Astute investment, I'd say.

I believe the UK has a much different tag registration process. You can buy or sell a particular tag in the secondary market. The Sunday papers are full of 'For Sales'. I believe they even have tag 'brokers'

I'm sure somebody from the UK could give a much more complete explanation.

Other S2000 drivers know what it means and who cares about everyone else? Nobody ever seems to get it.

01StooK = 01 S2K = 2001 S2000 whatever...
