Awesome. I do think though that in the future the pirates will be more likely to kill hostages early to prove a point.

Sadly this angers the pirates more than scare them.

I cheered upon hearing this news and wish more steps like this to be taken in the future.

should stomp all rag tag pirates out of existence. isn't piracy still an offense worthy of death? assault rifles for all sea going vessels, send all the GM workers to smith & wesson, then we'll better use the stimulus money...

they are purely motivated by money, so I dont think they would kill one unless it guaranteed more money.

The only way to fix this is to help stabilise the Somalian economy. At the moment it's a free for all and they can make a LOT of money pirating.
