Alright this is the situation: I bought my car used awhile back and it came with a top-of-the-line Alpine security system. It's awesome but it only came with one remote transmitter (God knows what the previous owner did with the other one). The other day it just stopped working and now I've been forced to turn off the alarm manually with the valet switch EVERY time I get in the car. The blinking lights and sounds are rather embarassing when it happens to you everytime.

Anyone ever been without a transmitter? Can alpine get me duplicates? (It doesn't help that Alpine discontinued it's security line awhile back either) Can an alarm shop duplicate a code or even fix my remote transmitter? Or will I have to go through the hassle of getting an entire alarm system installed?
