Default Car Offer

I took my car back to the dealer to sell it for the 26k and some change they offered me, and now they wont give me as much. Its only been 2 weeks, and they offered me almost $1500 less. Right at $24,500. Should I sell for that based on my car details?

I would prefer to sell the car with all the mods, but will consider offers with the removal of them. The car also has a few dings on the front right passenger side, I would estimate approx. $500 in repair, we can negotiate this in price, or I can fix depending on negotiations. I have also posted pictures of the car, as well, highlighted the needed repairs.

I also have all the stock replaced valve cover, oil cap, radiator cap, yellow side markers, original badges, and a bunch of posters and magazines which I am trying to get together. The only upgraded part I dont have is the orignial exhaust, which I am trying to find one now as well.

i think you would get more if you put the whole car back to stock.. almost all people dont like cars that are already fixed up when you talk about buying used cars, especially a sports car like the s2000. people know that they will drive it like crazy, so the more stock the better and the more value you will get. there is no way you can expect to get that 3k dollars back for those mods you have.. think about it this way.. you spent 3k lets say on mods, the vendor you purchased it from obviously made a grip from you. so lets say they made atleast 25% on you.. so those parts you have is only worth about $2300 (COST). take that and cut it by half, so your looking at about $1200 for the whole package (USED).

good luck selling your car, this is just my .02

correct !! To sell a modified car as a whole will always let you make less money than back the car to stock and part out the aftermarket parts..!! cuz mods don't count unless you find someone that wanna/willing to buy the car with those aftermarket parts..!! Iwill say, back to stock and part out the car... (of course, it has nothing to do with I wanna buy your parts )

My take...

Unless a car is modded by a company ie Roche, Saleen etc. your mods would add little, if any value to the car. As Bay pointed out it also shows the car MIGHT have been driven hard because the owner opted for performance mods.

If i were you, I'd try to sell off as many mods as you could use that money to fix the body to perfect (to many buyers its an issue, a $100 ding could lose the sale) and take what the market will give you. Your car is 2 1/2 years old and demand isn't what it was.
