Yeah, I agree he was a bit over the top but I probably would have done the same thing and I don't feel the least bit sorry for the pieces of sh*t that tried to steal his car.

I think that the guy was pretty lucky. Hitting someone in the face with a tire iron could well be considered excessive force, especially when the person hasn't even tried to hit you or anything ..... the fact that the guy had a gun probably saved him from charges ....

this is true..but really, can you believe that??? this can only occur in America.

someone tries to steal "your" stuff, you defend it in "your" property , and "you" get sue or thrown in jail.

what has this world come to?...or should is say what has United States come to?

its like when some one tries to rob your house and falls down the stairs and gets hurt...sue the house owner and gets money for it.

if someone tries to steal my property in my own damn house...you better be ready to give up your life
because i will take it. no joke.

sure is sad that you have to worry about getting sued for stopping car theives : /

I dont think it was excessive force, if he had kept hitting him with the tire-iron then that wouldve been excessive.

Ideally I suppose he wouldve called the cops and waited since they wont be able to get out of the community anyway.

but oh well, whos thinking 100% rationally in that circumstance.
