cell phone "antenna booster"
They have laws in the U.K. that say that advertised products must perform as described. For example, soap powder manufacturers used to shine bright lights on white sheets when making commercials so they would look really white. Can't do that kind of thing anymore.
Pity they don't have similar laws in the U.S. Products on infomercials are mostly big scams. O.K., so you can return most products under their guarantees, but the exhorbitant shipping and handling charges easily cover the true cost of the products anyway. Net loss to the seller for a returned product = $0 (and maybe even a profit).

That's too bad it doesn't work, becasue I could really use something like that for my cellphone.
I remember seeing something in the Skymall magazine on a plane once. It was a little ball that you put on the end of the cellphone antenna. Inside the ball was a bunch of wire all spooled together. It was suppose to help the antenna pick up more signal strength. I wonder if that product worked??
