My current cell phone headset is completly unsuitable for top down use. I can't hear and neither can the caller. Any suggestions for products that will work (and have the standard mini-plug?)

I think the on/off button is kinda cool!

I just keep forgetting to take the damn thing out of my shirt pocket!

I have tried many different headsets...jabra, plantronics, etc etc...they all seem to have the same prob..they pick up too much noise. I finally tried a wireless headset made by Air Magic and it seems to work pretty good with the top down. It still picks up alot of noise but the caller can hear when i talk and i can hear them. The bonus for the Air Magic is that it is wireless...there is a transmitter unit that plugs into your power outlet and then a cord that plugs into your jack on the phone the rest is all hands free and no wires...

I was at Sharper Image the other day and saw them there.

I use the plantronics and with the top down and the windows up, it works fairly well, according to my callers.

I use a motorola unit I found at the Sprint store... it retracts the headset end and the plug end into the unit when not in use... no more loose cables... it works well, except as I hit 90 in 3rd with the top down while calling in for a RPM call(oh the irony), they had no problem letting me off the call, until I returned to the office. I have to admit the wireless thing sounds cool!

See if you can find a surplus military hands-free unit, the kind that strap to your throat. They use the vibrations directly off of your throat instead of through the air, so there is very little noise. Don't ask me where to get them, just suggesting what to use

I don't answer the phone when I'm driving 'cause it interferes with my freedom
