Default Cheapest way to rent a car

Hey guys, I will be flying to Charleston, SC this Sunday (yes on easter, I know) and was just wondering if any of you knew the best way to rent a car. Is it better to go online or just get it there?

Holiday weekend - online.

Wait until you get there and you will likely be renting a taxi.

I usually reserve the cheapest car I can online, then I show up a little late to pick up the car - around 10am (after they've finished their morning rush). By that time they've rented out all of their cheap cars to other customers and I get a free upgrade.

I believe I will be arriving late sunday, so I kinda thought all the people on vacation would already have their cars returned but maybe I will go check online just to see what they got for deals. Oh and Not_Sure, haha thanks, that's not a bad idea.

Depending on what professional Associations you might also belong to, you can receive further discounts on-line.
