I will get the money back according to my credit union.

It looks like the card was duplicated at a shop in the mall.

I have heard of things like this before and in general when travelling don't use my check card.

Thanks all for the information, this thread has been an interesting read.

I'm glad you're getting your money back. It's good to know we're not liable for these sort of fraudulant activities.

BTW, wouldn't it be funny if whoever stole your money used the 12-20 grand as down payment for an NSX?

I watched this stuff on C.S.I before and saw how easy it is for someone to do that. I only use ATM's that are familuar to me and always check for any "new" things or "upgrades" on them.

Well wouldn't you know it, got a call this morning from my bank, seems someone drained my bank account.. greedy then deposited a blank envelope and took more..

What a piss off

What's the blank envelope bit mindcore? Does that mean that they "pretended" to deposit funds into the acct fooling the bank then withdrawing the non-existant money?

Do you know how this happened? I'm assuming someone made a duplicate of your ATM? I hope you get your money back.
