Chicago Visit
I'm going to be in Chicago the week after next and I was thinking about extending my stay to include the weekend. I've been to Chicago a number of times for work but haven't really seen the sights.
Any suggestions?

Right now, my tentaive plans are to fly in the afternoon of the 27th (of June) and leave the afternoon of the 30th. The way things are looking, I'll be tied up for work on the 27th and the 28th - during the day and evening. Which will give me the 29th to see the sights.

Really, downtown is a must see...especially around lunchtime. Shopping is always good at either the Michigan mile or come out to the 'burbs for a real shopping experience: Woodfield Mall.
This mall used to be the world's largest mall until the Mall of America opened up....now Woodfield mall makes claim to the mall with the most shopping square footage, and the mall which caters to the most shoe stores for women.....and it's 10 minutes away from the world's largest IKEA store!!!
Gino's East deep dish pizza is a must one night, another night you have to try Lou Malnatti's deep dish. Chicago style cheesecake and Chicago style hot dogs go hand in hand....wash that down with a Goose Island brew (Beer, root beer, or creme sodas).
If you're into clubbing....let me know; I will list out the hot spots for you.....if not the clubs...a show at the Briar St. theater is always packed with the Blue Man Group playing.

I'm now trying to work it out so I'll be in Chicago with free time on Friday night and Saturday night. How long are you guys all staying at Gingerman? Will anyone be left in Chicago?

Too bad we'll miss you- Jason Saini, soloiiracer & I will be outta town at the Solo2 National Tour in Peru In. We'll be leaving Friday afternoon and returning late Sunday the weekend you're in town. If ya happen to be free Thursday nite let us know, it'd be great to meet another s2k girl!
