Ummmm. I'll pay an extra $.50 just so I don't have to have some ghetto ass shaniqua with 3" finger nails say "WHAT YOU WANT?! WE AINT GOT THAT SO YOU GON' HAVE TO ORDER SOM'N ELSE."
I will also pay an additional $.50 so I don't have to go through the entire bag of food while sitting in the drive through so I can make sure my order is right.
I'm not saying anything about the hiring standards but at least from what I've seen they're pretty good... you can read in to that however you want but the proof is in the pudding.

LOL @ tapout2000.
I've been hearing lately that the WEST coast is totally different when it comes to food service...that they are "on the ball." Is this true?
I haven't been to a McDonald's or Burger King in months (and plan to avoid 'em the rest of my life, if possible)... But "rude" service can be found everywhere...
The biggest issue I have with some these employees is that they treat the customer with NO regard, they just don't care because they hate their job. So find something else. Attitude is everything and people need to recognize that.
I find it funny that Starbucks employees aren't paid much more than an average McDonald's employee...yet the EXPERIENCE can be VERY different.
Same goes with Wal-Mart and Target.
I can go on and on...

I agree on the part of finding a better job. hell, I was working at mcdonalds at one point, when I was 19. I was lucky enough to move on and find better work. however, with the current economy, it might not be so easy as it was 8 years ago for me.
not to mention, many people in fast food are working with a sketchy past... convictions, lack of education, the sort of things that keep people from getting better jobs.
so why would they care if a customer doesn't come back after a bad experience? one less order for them to cook, and they don't see a difference in their pay.
but I didn't start this thread to rip up on them. thats a whole topic on its own....
I agree with most of the sentiments in this thread. I have not compared thier prices with anyone else though so I cant say that they are over-priced.
I just eat there when the mood hits me.
the fact they are closed on Sunday though does nothing to prove that the compnay or its owners have any more "values" than any other company. It just proves they choose to observe a (rather strict) rule of not making any profit on the sabbath. Is it a value or virtue? I am not sure. It does not make an impact on my decision to eat there. It may strengthen the loyalty of some of the patrons that eat there by knowing they are a good god-fearing company but I dont think it affects market share or the level of peace and goodwill toward mankind on the planet.
That would be the same as saying that I am a better web-designer because I sacrafice crayons to Athena once a month

With that thinking they need to have prices that reflect the fact that they can only profit 6/7 of the time.
Love Chik-Fil-A...never had a single issue with their staff, and never (knock on wood) have I received a poor meal.
Not sure if all locations do this, but some also give military and LEO's a 50% discount - even on the drive-through line.

love the place eventhough I don't get to eat there as often as I'd like. I love their sammiches and their fries and for some reason their honey mustard and bbq sauce is just a perfect match for their food :yum:
