We bonused out over a million dollars for 200 employees. They better be happy.

As for me, my company does their annual bonus in March based on company performance. Since our cash burn is pretty severe, most analysts are predicting that we'll be bankrupt soon and we've already announced that there will be no merit-based salary increases next year, I'm suspecting there will be no bonus, either. If I keep my job for another year, that'll be enough of a bonus for me. I also wouldn't mind if our company stock value went back to pre-2008 prices.

I've never worked anyplace that gave a Christmas bonus, so I don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything.
I'm just happy to have a job after I graduated. My timing on re-entering the workforce after getting another degree couldn't have been worse.

That sounds like a lot, but actually is only ~$5K/person on average. While that's nothing to sneeze at, it's still not a lot by some standards, especially if their base salaries are already >$100K.

Bonuses range from $100 to $100k+ based on tenure and job position. I work at a construction company that does infrastructure work. The bonus pool doesn't include the owner's and top managers. They are in a different league.
