Christmas bonus from work?
I'm doing well and exceeding goals for the past 6 months, but lack of success in last quarter (due to clients kai-bosching on work we did) means a bonus of .65% of my base salary, which is about also only about 60% of my total annual income.
To throw some fake numbers out to make it tangible:
If my annual income is $100,000
And my base salary is $60,000
Then my Christmas bonus is $390.00
Worst one yet, with my revenue numbers higher than they ever have been in years past.
Not a spectacular year for anyone's wallets. Still, good luck to everyone who has lost their jobs recently. Have a good holiday and remember that being employed right now isn't necessarily bringing us much more money

EOY bonus w/ my company is based on company performance + personal performance... each person's is different as far as total potential.
my 'potential' is ~15% of my salary, i'll probably see half that this year since its been rough. still pretty happy to be getting anything at all with the economy as bad as it is, and sorry for all of you who have lost jobs recently.

At my previous company, me and other owners would take low/no Christmas bonus (when we had a downturn in revenue) so we could do something for the staff. Of course, that's with a more hands-on, small business because we knew the value of the company was in the human resources, so anything to keep them happy.

I'm a contractor, and the company I work 'with' just gave out gifts today.. I almost LOLd when I saw what it was.. a wireless thermometer

Seriously though, given the economy, I think most 'bonuses' will be just keeping the job you have. These days, it seems like every type of business is experiencing layoffs and furloughs.
Gone are the days of betting a new BMW as a Christmas and/or signing bonus.

We should all work for AIG and get a 4 million dollar bonus paid for by the taxpayers. I want my money back.

We are having a 1 hour break with lunch in the company cafeteria tomorrow. 1/2 an hour of that is regular unpaid lunch time.
We do get a bonus in March. Last few years it has been 3-4% based on company earnings, which will probably be low this year.
