I was not picking on anyone but myself and what I could have done to help others since I've been an adult.

I'm not lashing out at anyone or anything .........I guess my post was more introspective assessment of past Christmas'

I read somewhere that Americans donate to charity more than any other nation, probably because of folks like popeye

 

This is so true.

People think about it more during the holidays, but then after the holidays there's a big drop off and things are crappy again. It'd be better to donate on the non holidays becasue so many people donate during this time.

Here's the deal folks: chances are, within 5 minutes of where you're at, is a non-profit office, a Salvation Army red bucket, a Toys-For-Tots bin; something. . . if everyone takes a few moments out of their lives, and acknowledges the potential of out-and-out grace, the quality of The World stands a chance of improving.

 

Or you could tutor children. Spend time at a homeless shelter. Donate books, clothing, etc.

 

Or turn off the news and buy myself something.
