Christmas wishes.......
I guess with everyone having their hand out this season "wanting" something it seems odd to me that I would feel this way but here goes......
At Thanksgiving .......I was reading the local paper and it outraged me ,that on the same page there was an article about a large university's athletic department's budget being over 100 million dollars a year.
On the same page was a picture of family sitting at the airport complaining about the delays incured on their trip to the Disney World
Still on the same page was some homeless people living under a bridge hoping to get a warm Thanksgiving meal.
Fast forward to today........I over hear someone say that the post office is overloaded with cards from needy children asking Santa to bring them something.......anything.
What if .....we as individuals or local car club communities "adopt "a family for Christmas ? If that seems like too much,what about donating to a local food bank in your community or Toys for Tots ?
Rather than spending money on some frivolous nothing that will break,become lost or be forgotten why not make someone's life a little nicer at this time of the year ?

That's a random vent. 
I'm sure you know why Universities spend so much on athletic programs. I'm sure you would be pissed if you planned an awesome trip with the family somewhere and it didn't go through as planned or ended up costing you more.
And where did your assumption come from that noone here donates? I donate quite a bit, in food and toys each year. However it's mainly for the slight tax writeoff I get from it along with the feeling I'm at least helping slightly instead of throwing it in the trash.
