The Benz boys think the way to turn Chrysler around is to squeeze lower prices out of their component suppliers.
As Pat Bedard said of Oldsmobile when they tried that awhile back, "It'll never work. They'll get the price, but the vendors are fighting for their lives, and they won't give them their blood. They'll take out quality."
We all know what happened to the Oldsmobile brand after that.
