Years ago I tried it in a very tired Land Rover Series IIA 109. The engine was about whipped and I was trying to put off the inevitable rebuild. Restore actually seemed to work to a degree. The oil consumption dropped and oil pressure increased marginally, but it didn't keep the engine from needing a rebuild. As I said, I was simply trying to stave off a rebuild and would have and did try anything.
