Cingular cell phone unlimited internet
i am thinking to switch from t-mobile to Cingular. they are exactly the same except saw a statement in the Cingular brochure: i can not use my cell phone as a modem with the unlimited internet account. the account is to be used within the cell phone only.
i have gotten use to surfing using my phone as a modem and bluetooth into my pda while say i wait for lunch. just pull up cnn.com
question:
-does Cingular enforce this?
-how do they detect this even for customers with a cell embedded into their pda?
-what are the limits used by Cingular computers to flag my number?

i have sprint with "unlimited internet"
the spirit of the plan is for use with the phone. You CAN use it as a modem, but if you have hundreds of megabytes of data downloaded, they will charge you. i'm sure cingular is the same way.
btw, to use bluetooth networking with sprint, you have to hack the phone.

In a matter of 2 weeks I swtiched from Nextel to Cingular back to Nextel. The reception I got with Cingular was horrible. I dropped 86% of my calls. The reception was garbage. My personal opinion is to stay with T-Mobile.
