I wouldn't say that. The list of composers mentioned on this thread ranged from Bach and Vivaldi to Haydn and Mozart to Beethoven and Brahms. So all the periods are covered: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern. In general, I like most of the "classical" music, it is the "modern" music that I don't understand. The local radio station broadcast a premier performance of a new piece last night, and it sounded just like noise to me, with sounds going off here and there. I prefer music that sounds like music.
