is this the closest thing to real racing
Since gran turismo 5 is coming out november 24th there is a lot of talk about wheels. I think this is the only legitimate racing wheel with a clutch and 6speed

Confusing thread is confusing.
The first post has a video of a G27, but a link to a Momo racing wheel.
The second post says the wheel is only Mac/PC compatible, yet my brother uses his G27 on his PS3 (and it's fully supported in GT5).
My brain is melting.

The G27 is the second best racing wheel behind this wheel:

If you want to simulation race, sign up for iRacing. It is far more realistic physics wise than any arcade/console racing game.

my buddy has G25 (older version of G27) and it's badass. each pedals have different pressures (clutch, brake, and gas) steering feedback is pretty strong. only problem i had with that system was if you shift too fast it didn't register well.

Also because a few of the models are universally supported (Xbox, PS3 and PC) whereas the logitech wheels are PS3/PC only due to MS not supporting standard USB plug-and-play in the xbox. Go figure

I've had a G27 since April when Best Buy blew them out for $150 and I managed to snag one. I've hardly used it because I haven't had a game that supported it. I can't wait to get GT5.
Here is a teaser for the new Williams-Toyota FW31 F1 car.

It is a lot harder than it looks to be fast.
