Default Coin Collectors

The Royal Canadian mint has released a new quarter dedicated to the war veterans. This is the first coin with colour released to circulation. The intereting part is the coin is only available at Tim Horton's, which is a coffee/donut shop. So far I have 4 in my posession. I have tried to order the commorative rolls from the mint, but they are currently out of stock. Anyway, this is a small hobby of mine.

Have collected coins for a number of years and still trying up upgrade and fill holes. Saving lots of $'s for an XF or AU 1909 SVDB. My favorite coin is the St. Gaudens $20 gold piece. I think it is the best looking coin that the US has ever minted. My second favorite is the Peace Dollar. It looks much better than the Morgan.

HondaGal, you fell for another one of Tim's scams. Why would a donut shop be the only place you can get the coins? Cause he makes them in the back. They aren't real! Hope you didn't pay too much. Tim is such a jokester!

HAHA! they are real.. the coins are only being distributed through Tim Hortons.. and I believe the Canadian Legion.

I got a few this morning.. YA ok I am addicted to Tim's Coffee.

I suspect the red colouring will not last long if in circulation.

Heard on the news that even with constant rubbing it would take a few years for the color to wear off. It's the first colored coin in circulation - ever.

I'll trade you one US nickel for one of those shiny Canadian quarters.... that ought to be about an even trade.
