college advise
As a CPA who has hired many accountants over the years, I would hire a graduate from just about any accredited US college before hiring a graduate from a foreign college. No I am not a racist either, having hired Chinese (Taiwanese, actually), Mexican, African Americans and more females than males. It's just that I know nothing about colleges abroad, or in the Phillipines, therefore would not know if you purchased your degree, or worked harder for it than a US graduate. And I don't have time to research the question. I say this because I think most employers are in the same boat I am.
Good luck whatever you decide.

Go to a UC school. The California public school system is considered one of the best in the country (along with VA, TX, and MI). You will be considered a much stronger candidate with an accredited degree from an U.S. based school when applying to jobs here. Furthermore, you will also create a network of future co-workers in the U.S. My guess is that not many students at Phillipino universities move to and work in the States after graduation.
Finally, why on earth would anyone want to move away from California? Man, if I could do it all over again, I'd go to school somewhere in Cali. Stanford, UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC San Diego. . . I'd imagine all are better places to do undergrad work than some other schools in the country/world (socially speaking, from a guy's point of view). "I wish they all could be California. . . I wish they all could be Califonia GIRLS. . . "

Thanks for all the responses, most of them were very informative to me. Yeah, I was worried that I would have less opportunities if I went to a foreign university. I really want to go to Philippines very badly but if it means jeopardizing my future then I won't do it. If I did go to Philippines for college I would either go to the Asia Institute of Management (where a lot of the wealthiest and smartest kids throughout Asia including China, Taiwan, and Japan attend) or Ateneo (a private school where most of the students are from upperclass Filipino families). I know the lifestyle will be different but I love it over there, and IMO the girls and nightlife there are much better than here in California, but thats just my personal opinion. What do you guys think about going to Philippines for my undergraduate then coming here for my M.B.A ? Is that a bad idea also? But I guess I will probably just attend a school here, I don't think i have the grades to get into UC Berkeley or UCLA so most likely I will go to UC Davis or maybe LMU (Loyola Marymount University). Thanks for the responses and anymore will be appreciated.
well, Davis and Irvine are worlds different from Berkely or even UCLA.
If you can't get into the latter, go for it. You CAN get a MBA after coming back, but you REALLY REALLY should work first. you can go straight for a MBA but you get more out of it when you know how the world really works first. you don't know coming straight from school.
