As a matter of fact, in 5 years, I'll be graduating from medical school with my MD, bitch. Who's the asshole now?

I was talking strictly from a BS in BA standpoint. You're right, ohlone doesn't offer those classes, hell, SJSU probably doesn't. But I will 1. Be saving A LOT more money by going to a CC first, and then moving on to a 4 year, especially since mommy and daddy haven't done shit for me as far as finances are concerned.
And you're still the asshole, because you are still gloating about how UC's are so much better than CSU's blah blah blah. If you want to pull that card, you're actually an idiot, because you're "only" at UCI, and not USC, or Stanford, or Berkeley.

I'll end it here to keep myself from getting in trouble with the mod's and taking this really personal. If you have more things to say, feel free to PM me, I need a good laugh tonight. And once again, I'll state, that was reinforced by 8D, you're a nobody in the MD field, or in any field without being known. So, you don't know who I know, or know anything about me, so to say you're so much better than me, just 'cause you're in med school is quite ignorant, and makes you look worse than you have already made yourself look in your previous post.
Good luck in med school though

I'm really tired of the fact that 3.33 is average. Isn't a C to C+ supposed to be average? Isn't that the point of the grade? Oh well... too much grade inflation has occured in our education institutions.
Also, Size vs. Research opportunities:
It has been my experience (and mind, there are more factors involved--such as money funded, quality, etc): but often smaller schools provide more research opportunities due to less competition. Though mind, by small, I mean sub 2,000.

Yes.. I believe 2.8 is all C's.. I could be wrong though. 3.0 is supposedly considered "above average". But after all, he IS in med school

A- 3.67 ≥ 90.0%
B+ 3.33 ≥ 86.6%
B 3.00 ≥ 83.3%
B- 2.67 ≥ 80.0%
C+ 2.33 ≥ 76.6%
C 2.00 ≥ 73.3%
C- 1.67 ≥ 70.0%
He said 5 years 'till med school graduation... doesn't that imply he's not yet in med school? Average should be average, period. I'm not saying he is wrong, merely that our system has become skewed.

I was stating that he thinks he's so much better than an because he's going to graduate med school at UCI, but that UCI in comparison for med school's is like the Cal State of Med Schools in CA

P.S. I was pulling for not you, until that last paragraph. It's not necessary to sink low like that.

I definitely see where you're coming from about research opportunities, and I can see that being true. I guess it just depends on the circumstance. Some big schools may have horrible research opportunities, while some small schools may have great opportunities.
I'm trying not to sound like an arrogant pompous asshole, and yeah I shouldn't have sunk "that low". Keep in mind, it was espiler that stated I would be working as a burger flipper once I graduate, so I was just defending myself.
[QUOTE=espelirS2K,Dec 11 2008, 09:12 PM]First of all, I wasn't "bragging" about getting a 3.33.. that's nothing to brag about.

Actually, getting into any medical school in California is quite an achievement, and I hope/dream I could achieve something like that. And you obviously must be agreeing with my statement about how some schools are "better" than others if you're using that "Cal State" analogy.

I dislike the fact that I stooped down to that level, because I hate meeting doctors that have that "I'm so much better than you attitude", but hey, you said I would end up as a fast food employee and I was just proving you wrong.
I don't have issues with you man, I just want you to see where I'm coming from. Anyways, later dude.
