Hahahahaha. No. He wanted to go to a UC, and the only one he got in to was Davis, and his typical asian parents said GO TO THE UC NOOWWWWW DO IT. But he wanted to study business. That's pretty much how it went

I applied to two colleges, calpoly slo and calpoly pomona, got into slo.
My friends were panicking about their college apps and stuff while i just sat there and played games.
I'm still wondering how i got into SLO though, my grades in HS weren't that great.

I never got why UC schools were harder to get into than Cal States

sjsu is probably the best state school. they have the highest average starting salary of all state schools.

they are better schools. they get more money from the state. the students are smarter by every metric.

I have a few friends who go to San Jo
That's where I'm transferring to. SJSU is in the top 5 Business schools in California out of the State's. And towards the top in all colleges in California. Although CSUEB is higher.. the "name" of the school isn't as good as SJSU.

3.33 is pretty mediocre for HS...no offense. And UC's are state schools, unless you were talking about Cal States...and if so, Cal States are not as good as most UC's(the only so-so UC I can think of is Merced), sorry.
Anyways, to the OP, don't stress about it. You'll be fine

Cornell is a great school. I was born in Ithaca, and stayed here because my dad was a Prof and Dean.
My wife and I graduated Cornell in 1981, and decided to stay and work for the University.
Ithaca is again nothing like NYC. It's more like.... Wisconsin. Rusty pick-ups, and hard working joes, tempered by transplant weirdo granola earth folk who live in yurts, talk to deer, and wear hemp socks.
I've been all over to many schools, and I'd have to say that Cornell and the surrounding area is one of the greatest spots on Earth, but the winters are really 6 months of Hell.
Your S will sit from Halloween to Tax day.
If you come here, you may not ever leave. Everyone who does comes back.
