Default Computer Help: Video Cards

hey guys, im in dire need of some technical help. i am trying to hook my computer up to my tv so i can watch movies on a bigger screen (the tv). the tv is s video compatible so i have an s video cable connected to the back of my vid card of my comp (ati diamond graphics stealth s60, 32 mb) it's a cheap vid card that was only like 25 bucks. here is my problem, i get audio and video but the video on the tv screen is black and white...any suggestions? could it be a shitty vid card and i need to buy another one? i already updated the drivers and everything for the vid card. thanks for any and all help!

You could always get the Ati X600 all in wonder, watch TV on your desktop and surf the web at the same time.

Turn down your display settings on your computer to 800X600 or lower. Lower your color settings as well.

You could use a relatively cheap card, now called the Gefore 2 Ti (w/ tv out). Ive had this card for over 2 years and it still plays very well on my tv when I want to watch movies on my bigscreen (55")

ALso, if your vcr cable line is used as a port for in/out tv, unplug the cables on the VCR, it makes the computer projected image clearer. The GeForce 2 Ti uses the standard three outlets (gold, white, and red). If you choose to display for better picture, get gold tipped plugs.
