Hi, a few days ago some jerk messed my AIM up. my profile was completely erased, and now everytime i use an away message they change it to some bestfriends.com site. i also keep recieving chat invites for those porn links. i scaned all my files with mcaffe, and i use spy bot. what should i do?

i just bought the subscription for the virus deection. it killed a bunch of trojans. i hope that did it.

running any type of virus detection software wont work. You're only solution is to create another screenname and copy your buddy list over.

i agree. Sometimes, people that work for AOL and have access to their servers sell information (email addresses, SN's, etc) to companies looking to advertise. My suggestion is not to give out your email address to very many people other than people you know. When you register your email address on a website you guarantee yourself a boatload of spam--unless you have a decent filtering system
