Wow, I don't understand why anyone would not celebrate Tiger's amazing victories. He's done things that a scant few others have ever done and he's still only what, 25?
Just because you say he takes the mystery out of the game for YOU should not take away from his absolute dominance in the sport. He's a disciplined winner that is focused totally on winning and being the best golfer in history. I think he'll do it and I'll be right there cheering him on...I love winners! I think it's nothing short of awesome how he wins. He makes the game more exciting for me...and I have played golf since I was 7 years old...not that I'm that good, but I've played a long damn time.
I say...go get 'em Tiger!!

Actually... Bobby Jones also won all four majors and did so in a single calendar year (aka the Grand Slam). Yes - the four majors were different tournaments than they are now, but none the less his is the benchmark.
Not taking anything away from Tiger, of course.

Forget about Bobby Jones and that phony GS that includes both pro and amateur titles against pathetically weak competition. It's time to stack these predecessors' performance against Tiger. Except for Nicklaus's longevity records, the most significant records (major and non-major) now belong to Tiger and he's still 25. And we haven't even talked about his impact on sports and society. His real peers are more like Muhammed Ali and Arthur Ash. I'm just glad he's playing and on top of his game in my lifetime.
