I designed a house in the Hamptons for a guy who was going to buy a pretty expensive telescope. It's like a gunner's turret on a bomber and I think it rotates and tracks whatever stars that's focused on. I thought it was pretty cool. I didn't see the finished product because I left the firm but I always wondered...

I remodelled my kitchen and bathroom and built new cabinets for myself. Best thing I ever did was raise the height of them and the counter tops by 6 inches. Now when my back is sore, washing my hands doesnt make it worse.
I have had numerous compliments on my brainwave.

fun friday!

u ever have any realistic but cool ideas you would build into your house if u could?

ie: I always wanted my bedroom and bath to have a retractable roof to see the stars at night.

hot tub with a cave/waterfall overlooking a view

fireman's pole to get downstairs fast.
How about a fireman's pole in a secret room that leads to a cave with a 20-car garage with a retractable door?

Oh wait... what? That's been done? By whom?!

Oh.

I am currently building a house for a friend that does have several secret rooms and, instead of a dining room, we are putting in set of carriage doors in place of some of the windows so he can park his 1966 Shelby Cobra where the table would go. This will be easy to convert to windows and make it a dining room when it's time for him to sell.

The house is very very open and has 2 circular staircases to get to the lofts at both end of the house. One loft is a gameroom and the other is a master bedroom.

I just want 2 bowling lanes. I don't even need scoring, I can do it myself. Just automatic setters and a professional oil machine.

It wouldn't even be so expensive. I just don't have 80 straight feet of free space.
