If you're really getting tickets for "not speeding" and cops are faking the numbers, a radar detector isn't going to help.

If the numbers go over the mark, that would be speeding, right or am I missing something? Cops don't care if your foot is on the gas or not, if your going over the limit, your over the limit! A radar detector could have alerted you in time to slam the brakes and slow to below the limit or coast below depending how fast you were going.

What NS said.

I have three (3) Valentine One units, one in each of my regular cars. The need for a GPS and no room on the dashboard for one plus the V1 made me try the Escort Passport iQ a combination GPS and radar detector that does neither well -- don't make my mistake. The GPS function is primitive and the screen unreadable in sunlight. Maybe the radar detector works OK but it barely makes any noise.

The V1 needs the latest firmware to filter out the traffic condition sensors that work on low power radar. Otherwise the V1beeps constantly on the interstates here.

Putting your car in neutral gives false readings to cops because of the digital speedo, jog it between kilometers and mph, it will average the two thus a slow speed, also keeps mileage off the car.

Yes, but you forgot to mention that it works exactly the opposite if you are in the southern hemisphere.

Jogging in a speedo is probably uncomfortable but doing so will definitely confuse both LE and a radar gun.

Driving in a speedo decreases wind resistance when the top is down.

I've tried using waze in my area I dont really feel confident with it though but if you can't have a radar detector it will have to do.

On the freeway the most important thing to look out for is traffic patterns if you see brake lights in the distance you know there's a cop. Everyone breaks for cops even if they're not speeding.

Not sure what you're talking about here. I commute 140 miles each weekend, and have my cruise control on about 7-9 mph above the limit pretty much the entire time, except when traffic makes this unsafe. I'll pass troopers as if they're not even there. Never been pulled over in almost ten years of driving.

I like the part where somebody assumes that the constabulary in their region is EXACTLY LIKE the constabulary in other regions. That's my favorite part.
