Exactly, now my the reasons I dont like cops is happening more and more.

They are even starting to bully people at the starbucks I stop at everymorning infront of my hospital. They cut in line and threaten people, and when the 4 pigs get together they are very loud and obnoxious and talk mad shit about people they have ticketed. I had one of them get nosy with me one morning, saw me taking my lab coat off and had the balls to ask me some stupid shit like " are you a doctor or something, you guys dont do our country and good and are screwing up the budget" I ignored him and walked away and then he got up and grabbed my shoulder and said he was talking to me and now I could be arrested for fleeing and evading. I asked him if I was being detained, he told me no. So then I told him since im not being detained, he cant keep me here and I have nothing to say to him. I then filed a complaint against him and attempted to press charges against him for battery, but his sargent blew me off and wouldnt provide me with the necessary paper work or address my complaint.

you should have asked if he was one of the village people

I cant speak for California, but in NY a lot of cops make more than doctors do in other states, whose screwing up what?

Yes, and I can safely and accurately say that as medical professionals, we save ALOT more lives on a daily basis then cops do. And we command alot more respect, anytime I see a a former patient of mine, I am greeted with nothing but warmness.

When a person is sick, I do not see then as bad people, I do not believe they are getting what they deserve and if at any time my superior told me to do something that was not in a patients best interest or immoral, id tell my superior to go F himself.

This has happened on one ocassion. I had a mentally compromised patient under my care and the lead rad onc was up to no good. The linear accelerators we used were down for service, but for some horrible reason, the chief said "The patient wont know the difference, just tell the techs to put him on the machiene and spin it around him, he will never know the difference." I blatently refused to follow this order and immediately went out and told the family of this, I recommended they take their family member elsewhere because the patients well being was obviously not the chief physicians top concern. I also reported this to the appropriate chain of command and resigned the following day.

A paycheck is NOT worth someones life and I will never accept money to compromise a persons wellbeing.

Why is a cop above this standard? Just following orders for a paycheck?

Granted, if a crazy is walking toward you with a knife, then by all means shoot him, but shoot to disable, not kill.
u dont shoot to disable. its actually very hard to do that and cops are not good shots normally. they r trained to fire their weapon only to be used as lethal force.

Most (not all) of the people who have bad run ins with the cops have a bad attitude that sets off the cops and causes them to be jerks. Almost all of the cops i have met have been pretty plesant with the exception of one.

But just imagine what its like to be a cop. Always having to deal with ignorant people all day calling about 'there baby daddy' doing some crazy ish or "a car just drove by with music playing loudly".
i know if i had to deal with the crazy complants that crazy ass people dream up on a daily basis, id probably become an asshole too.

Give someone a gun and make them deal with stupid ass people everyday and then act confused when someone gets shot.

^^^ Your Cliff notes are missing the part about the scuffle.

Interesting how people mold the story to make it sound more interesting. "The Fire Chief complained, so the cops shot him". Really, is that what happened? How about "The Fire Chief complained, there was a fight, the cops shot him"?

I'm not sating it was right or wrong, justified or unjustified, excessive or necessary. I don't know - I wasn't there and I don't have all the facts. But if you're going to criticize, at least try to get the story half right.
Even if the fire chief happened to start a fight, it's 7 armed fckrs against one unarmed man. Shooting him from behind is simply pathetic . Come on use some logic.

no one made them join the force... if you cant keep your cool you shouldnt be a cop

There are plenty of active military who have a lot more self control, and their job is 1000x more stressful

I had some friends in Downtown San Diego last week. I didn't go, but apparently, some guy robbed a store down there, injured a security guard (knife I think) and when the cops showed up, the cops shot him dead because he wouldn't stop moving toward them.

I think it's getting out of hand as well.
if they pull their sidearm, they are trained to shoot to kill. Not disable. Just how it is.

The answer to a cop asking what you do for a living should always be "I'm an attorney". No other answer will end the situation quicker. You could always add "And work is slow right now, are you going to give me something to work on next week at the office?".
